Przetarg na modernizację Sali Kongresowej został unieważniony przez prezesa Pałacu Kultury Rafała Krzemienia. Zrobił to 3 miesiące po otwarciu ofert, wszystkie okazały się zbyt kosztowne. Rafał Trzaskowski przyznaje, że powodem jest zła sytuacja finansowa miasta. Zadeklarował też, że mimo to Sala Kongresowa zostanie wyremontowana, nie wiadomo jednak kiedy i na jakich zasadach finansowych.
